- RECOMENDATIONS
-
- - BEFORE the installation of S.T.O.P.S. check your drive for viruses.
- - Run the SCANDISK program to fix existing errors.
- - Remove files you do not use from the root directory of C: drive.
- - Close all running programs.
-
- - Run A:\STOPS32.EXE.
- - Before rebooting remove the diskette from the floppy drive.
- - Change BOOT SEQUENCE to "C:, A:, ..." in CMOS Setup.
- - Protect your CMOS Setup with a password.
- - When using FDISK or FORMAT utilities for drive C: it's recommended
- that S.T.O.P.S. is removed, and then installed again after using these
- utilities.
- - If you don't remove S.T.O.P.S. use "FORMAT C: /S" to ensure the
- operating system is reloaded.
- - If you YOU BOOT FROM THE FLOPPY and have S.T.O.P.S. already installed on
- your computer you won't be able to find drive C:. This is normal for
- S.T.O.P.S. installed. Don't worry and don't try to correct this situation -
- you won't be able to remove S.T.O.P.S. but you can seriously damage
- information on hard drive. JUST REBOOT FROM C:
- - To access C: we would recommend that you uninstall S.T.O.P.S. with the
- SAME Installation diskette you used to install it. You MUST remember
- the serial code you used to install it or otherwise it will not uninstall.
